Hobby Center for the Performing Arts

For the 20th year Lucia and Michael Cordúa hosted our annual gala…..and what a party it was!!  Chaired by Frances and Tim Arnoult and Marsha and Charlie Parker, the 2009 Building Hope for Children Gala raised a record breaking amount of $690,000.  Also, a record breaking crowd of 650 attended this incredible evening!  ABC Channel 13’s Tom Koch was the Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer and encouraged the crowd to bid a record amount for the auction.  We are grateful to all our sponsors, auction donors and purchasers and to all that were able to join us.  Many children will benefit for your generosity!!

Our Funding

Casa de Esperanza is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which relies entirely upon the generosity of the community. One hundred percent of the operating budget is raised from private sources. No government or public funds are accepted, nor is Casa affiliated with the United Way. No fees are charged for any of Casa de Esperanza's services. Casa de Esperanza meets the Better Business Bureau's Guides for Giving and is listed in the Better Business Bureau's Report on Philanthropy in Houston.
