Fort Bend County Program

The Fort Bend County Program is a growing part of Casa de Esperanza’s services for children affected by abuse, neglect, or HIV/AIDS. In 2001 Casa de Esperanza expanded its program to Fort Bend County to serve the many children referred from there for placement, as well as an increasing number of foster and adoptive families in the county.

The Fort Bend County Program includes the generous support of many volunteers, foster parents, adoptive parents, and community partners.

2006 Fort Bend County Program Statistics:

  • 42 Children were served in or from Fort Bend County

  • 1 Agency Foster Home in Fort Bend County

  • 8 Community Foster Homes in Fort Bend County

  • 3,797 days of care provided in Casa's Fort Bend foster homes

  • 19 Fort Bend families have adopted through Casa

25% of all children adopted through Casa de Esperanza over the years reside in Fort Bend County.

The need for a safe place for children, the generosity of families in Fort Bend County in providing foster and adoptive homes, and the support of the community ensure the continued success of Casa de Esperanza’s programs there.
